Sludge Dewatering

Creative Waste Management (CWM) uses an array of volume reduction technologies and deploys a variety of compact, high capacity mobile treatment systems. We also have the capability to design, build, and operate sophisticated permanent facilities. The technologies and facilities we employ has made us a leader in sludge and sediment dewatering.

Depending on the specific application, CWM implements the appropriate dewatering technology to deliver the optimum results. Utilizing technologies including, but not limited to, belt presses, filter presses, centrifuges, thickeners, geo-textile tubes, and clarifiers, our systems are designed for maximum throughput, highest cake solids, and superior solids capture ratio. These high performance mobile sludge dewatering units complimented with over 35 years of sludge dewatering experience enables us to provide high quality, cost effective services.

CWM is fully equipped to perform lab simulation tests with calibrated bench scale models of numerous dewatering technologies. In addition, we also maintain a complete stock of conditioning polymers and reagents from all major chemical companies

Digester Sludge
Creative Waste Management owns and operates all the necessary equipment to clean aerobic and anaerobic digesters as well as other sludge holding tanks. Through the use of various pumps and dewatering equipment, we can dewater the contents of the tank(s) into a high solids filter cake for reduced disposal costs. With our experience in choosing the proper equipment and handling methods, we can have your digesters back in line quickly.

Lagoon Sediment
We are the dredging specialist that you have been looking for. Due to our experience in hydraulic dredging, pumping sediments from wastewater lagoons and then dewatering them is our specialty. We utilize large holding tanks to receive dredged/pumped material and to act as a reservoir for feeding the solids to the dewatering equipment. Because hydraulic dredging does not require the lagoon be taken out of service, this method of cleaning is preferred by many of our customers.

Ash Ponds
In situations when your ash cannot be pumped and disposed of in another pond or containment area, our dewatering experience is a valuable resource for your disposal needs. We utilize similar techniques to those in lagoon cleaning, but special consideration must be given to particle characteristics. We have cleaned and dewatered various ash materials from holding ponds into filter cake which greatly reduces volumes.

Marina Sediment
We have also dewatered sediments from municipal and private marinas and channels. This offers a solution in situations where no disposal areas are located nearby. Confined disposal facilities are harder and harder to find and this type of sediment dewatering allows greater disposal options for your sediment.
