Dredging and Pumping

Lagoon Cleaning and Closures

As a dredging specialist, CWM's dredging technologies vary from project to project due to the many different types of sledges and sediments. From sludge lagoons to rivers or canals with contaminated sediments, we can provide the proper dredging service to meet the desired result. Hydraulic dredging as well as Clam Shell dredging has been successfully demonstrated on a variety of projects.

CWM performs site surveys, analytical and physical testing as a prerequisite for optimum service delivery. This step provides an in-depth understanding of the waste stream, holding source, and sludge volume and sludge composition.

Many of our dredging projects involve lagoon or pond cleaning where sludge removal is involved. Sludge dewatering is often required using CWM's mobile sludge dewatering systems. These applications involve municipal sewage sludge lagoons, municipal water treatment lagoons, aerated sludge lagoons at Pulp & Paper Mills, Power Plant ash ponds and waste lagoons in the chemical industry. CWM's dewatering & dredging contractor services have also been successfully implemented in sediment removal projects in lakes, drinking water reservoirs, and underground tunnels.

Dredging

Hydraulic - Industrial
Creative Waste Management utilizes a variety of floating, hydraulic dredges to remove industrial sediments and sludges. We have hydraulically dredged ash lagoons, chemical settling ponds as well as other water storage and wastewater impoundments. The benefit of cleaning these areas in this fashion is that the pond can remain in service while being dredged.

Hydraulic - Marina, Channel, Pond
Other hydraulic dredging projects include marina basins, channels, ponds and lakes. As with industrial dredging, we use floating cutter-head suction dredges to remove sediments that have accumulated in these areas. In most cases, the material is dredged into a confined disposal facility for long term drying. In others, we use our various sludge and sediment dewatering techniques to remove excess water, which reduces the disposal volume and cost.

Clamshell/Excavation
Creative Waste Management is a dredging company that possesses the capability to remove sediments using mechanical methods. Whether this is through the use of a long reach excavator, an environmental clam dredge, or by diverting the water flow and scraping a pond / lake in the dry, we offer a variety of other ways to remove accumulated sediment.
